Best Indoor Cameras for Apple HomeKit

For HomeKit Secure Video we prefer the Aqara Camera Hub G3 if you want pan, tilt, and a shutter. Confirm HomeKit on any eufy model before you buy it for that reason. The Logitech Circle View is the older fixed option.

Best Indoor Cameras for Apple HomeKit

Bestindoorcam.com may earn a commission if you buy through a store link. That does not change which camera we prefer. Read how affiliate links and ads work and how we review.

Apple Home is the ecosystem we treat with the most skepticism about model names, because HomeKit support is specific and the big eufy and Tapo cameras people want are often outside it. Our preference is the Aqara Camera Hub G3: 2K, pan and tilt, a shutter, and HomeKit Secure Video documented by Aqara. Buy a eufy indoor camera for HomeKit only when that exact listing says so. The S350 is a wonderful camera in the eufy app and the wrong assumption in the Home app.

You will need a home hub and enough iCloud for the number of cameras Apple allows on your plan. Add that cost before you call HomeKit free. If the iCloud step is unwelcome, leave the ecosystem and use a Tapo C225. A card is a simpler privacy story than an account you did not want.

The Logitech Circle View remains the fixed HomeKit camera people already own. We would keep it on a doorway. We would not pay a collector's price for a new one when the G3 pans and shows more detail.

HomeKit Secure Video stores video in iCloud. You need a home hub such as a HomePod or Apple TV, and an iCloud plan with room for cameras.

The camera we would add to Apple Home

The Aqara Camera Hub G3 is our preference. It is a 2K pan-and-tilt camera with a physical shutter, and Aqara documents HomeKit Secure Video. It is also a Zigbee hub, which matters if you already own Aqara sensors and is a free extra if you do not. The Circle View is simpler and older: 1080p, fixed, HomeKit only in spirit. In 2026 we would not hunt for a new Circle View unless the price is an afterthought and the room is a single door. The G3 versus Circle View page is the longer version.

eufy has sold indoor cameras with HomeKit support, including pan models in the E220 family, and it has sold many more that do not have it. The S350 is not the HomeKit pick. Read the listing. If the words HomeKit Secure Video are missing, assume you are buying a eufy-app camera. The E220 versus C210 comparison is about paying for that logo.

The iCloud bill is the real price

HomeKit Secure Video uses your iCloud storage rules, not a camera brand's monthly plan. That is the privacy argument, and it is a good one. It is still a bill if your current iCloud plan has no room. Check Apple's camera limits for your plan before you buy two G3s. A Tapo C225 with a card is the non-HomeKit answer when you wanted Apple and then saw the storage tier.

A Google Nest Cam is not a HomeKit camera. A Ring camera is not a HomeKit camera. Do not import them with a workaround and call it the same thing.

Where to check the current price

Street prices move with sales. These links search a major retailer for the model named in this review. Confirm the exact model number on the listing before you pay.

Questions people ask before they buy

Does the eufy S350 work with HomeKit?

Not as a HomeKit Secure Video camera in the product story eufy tells for the S350. Buy it for the lenses. Buy an Aqara G3, or a eufy model that prints HomeKit on the listing, for Apple Home.

What Apple device has to stay home?

A home hub: a HomePod, HomePod mini, or Apple TV that is signed into the same home. An iPhone alone is not the hub.

Is HomeKit more private?

Video for HomeKit Secure Video is Apple's iCloud design rather than the camera brand's cloud. You still have an account, a hub, and anyone invited to the Home. Read Apple's current privacy page for the feature. It is a better default than a mystery app, not a magic cloak.
