Who we are
Bestindoorcam.com is an editorial site about indoor cameras. You can reach us through the contact form. We do not sell a camera store account, and we do not require you to create a reader account.
Information you give us
- Comments. If you comment on a review, we store the name, email, and comment you submit, plus the date, so we can moderate and display the note. The email is not shown on the page. Comments stay pending until an editor approves them.
- Contact form. We store your name, email, subject, and message so we can reply. That address is not added to the newsletter unless you subscribe separately.
- Newsletter. If you join the list, we store the email you enter so we can send occasional review notes. You can ask us to delete it.
- Author sign-in. Only people who write for the desk have accounts. Those passwords are stored as hashes.
Hosting logs may include IP address, browser type, and the page requested. We use that to keep the site secure and running. We do not sell your email, comments, or messages.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We use a cookie to remember that you closed the cookie notice, and a cookie to keep an editor signed in. If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads.

We use Google AdSense, or intend to, to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. Those cookies can personalize ads, limit how often you see an ad, and measure performance.

How long we keep information
Comments stay with the review unless you ask us to remove them. Newsletter emails stay until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Contact messages stay long enough to reply and keep a simple record. Server logs last as long as the host keeps them for security.
Your choices
Write through the contact page to ask for a comment, a newsletter address, or a message to be deleted. Include the email you used so we can find the row.
Children
This site is written for adults choosing a camera. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
