TL;DR
The short version: Amazon announced two new Blink indoor cameras on 21 October 2026. The fixed Blink Mini 4K+ is the Mini line's first 4K camera; the Blink Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ puts a 2K camera on a motorized pan-and-tilt base for whole-room coverage. Both are plug-in cameras that work with Alexa, and both are available to preorder on Amazon now. This is a spec-based first look from the official announcement — we have not hands-on tested either camera.

Overview
Blink's Mini range has climbed one resolution rung at a time: 1080p with the Mini 2, then 2K with the Mini 2K+. The two models announced today split the top of the range in two directions — more detail, or more coverage. The Mini 4K+ keeps the fixed, shelf-friendly Mini shape and pushes resolution up to 4K. The Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ takes the 2K step and adds a motorized base that can sweep a whole room, succeeding the original 1080p Pan-Tilt camera.
Both cameras were announced together as part of a refreshed five-camera Blink lineup, and both keep the Mini formula intact: plug-in power, a direct Wi-Fi connection with no hub required, the Blink Home Monitor app, and deep Alexa integration.

Key features
4K video on the Mini 4K+
The headline upgrade is resolution. The Mini 4K+ is the first Mini to record in 4K, a clear step up from the 2K Mini 2K+ and the 1080p Mini 2 — on paper, that means more detail to zoom into when you need to check a face, a pet, or a parcel on the counter.
Motorized coverage on the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+
The Pan-Tilt 2K+ trades the 4K sensor for movement: its motorized base pans and tilts so one camera can cover a whole room instead of staring at a single corner, and it does it with a 2K camera rather than the 1080p camera of the original Pan-Tilt.

Alexa throughout
Blink is an Amazon brand, and both cameras work with Alexa: pull the live view up on an Echo Show, arm or disarm with your voice, and fold the cameras into Alexa Routines.
Blink Mini 4K+ and Pan-Tilt 2K+ vs the predecessors
Mini 4K+ vs Mini 2K+: the Mini 2K+ records 2560x1440 video with a 138° field of view, color night vision, a siren, and two-way talk with noise cancellation, starting at $49.99 — the full picture is in our Blink Mini 2K+ review. The Mini 4K+ is the new top step above it: same fixed plug-in idea, higher resolution. Owners of a Mini 2 (1080p) skip two generations of resolution in one upgrade.
Pan-Tilt 2K+ vs the original Pan-Tilt: the first Blink Mini Pan-Tilt bundled the 1080p Mini with a motorized mount for 350° pan and 125° tilt at $39.99, as covered in our Blink Mini Pan-Tilt review. The Pan-Tilt 2K+ keeps the whole-room concept and moves the camera up to 2K, which is the upgrade Pan-Tilt owners have been waiting for — coverage no longer costs you resolution.

Pros and cons
Pros
- 4K resolution comes to the Mini line for the first time (Mini 4K+)
- Pan-and-tilt coverage no longer means settling for 1080p (Pan-Tilt 2K+)
- IP65 sealing on the Mini 4K+, so one camera works indoors or out
- No hub or Sync Module required — both connect directly to Wi-Fi
- Deep Alexa integration, as expected from an Amazon brand
- Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 on the Mini 4K+
Cons
- Person and vehicle detection and cloud clip history need a Blink Subscription Plan after the trial
- Several key specs (frame rate, dimensions, exact night-vision type) were not yet published at announcement
- Plug-in only — placement still follows your outlets
- Alexa-first: no Google Home or HomeKit support announced
- Preorder status — no hands-on reviews exist yet, including ours
- Outdoor use of the Pan-Tilt 2K+ needs the separately sold Blink Camera Outdoor Adapter
Who it's for
Pick the Mini 4K+ if one fixed view covers your room and you want the sharpest frame Blink offers — a nursery, a front room, or a desk you want to read detail from. Pick the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ if the room is bigger than one field of view: open-plan spaces, pets that roam, and hallways where the action moves. Alexa households get the most from either; if you are still deciding between brands, our guide to the best indoor security cameras of 2026 shows where the new Blinks have to fit in.
FAQ
When will the Blink Mini 4K+ and Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ be released?
Amazon announced both cameras on 21 October 2026, with preorders open on Amazon from announcement day. Check the Where to buy links below for current preorder status and price.
What is the difference between the Blink Mini 4K+ and the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+?
Resolution versus coverage. The Mini 4K+ is a fixed camera that records in 4K; the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ records in 2K but sits on a motorized base that pans and tilts to cover a whole room.
Do I need a Blink Subscription Plan?
Live view and two-way talk work without one. Person and vehicle Smart Alerts on both models — and AI Video Descriptions on the Mini 4K+ — require a compatible Blink Subscription Plan, per Amazon's announcement.
Can the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ be used outdoors?
Yes, but only with the Blink Camera Outdoor Adapter, which is sold separately. The Mini 4K+ is rated IP65 for indoor or outdoor use as sold.
Do the new Blink cameras work with Alexa?
Yes. Both the Mini 4K+ and the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ work with Alexa for live view on Echo Show devices, voice arm and disarm, and Alexa Routines. No Google Home or Apple Home support was announced.
