Indoor Camera Privacy: What to Turn Off in 2026

Indoor cameras can be incredibly useful—and invasive if configured carelessly. Before you mount anything, change these defaults.

Disable camera when you are home

Turn off cloud upload if you use microSD

If you only want local recording, disable cloud backup in the app. Verify clips are not uploading by checking your account storage page.
